I Will Not Eat With You
An ode to the glorious fickleness of childhood.
I Will Not Eat With You
Of course I heard you, Peggy Dean,
And no, you can’t get through!
‘Cause you’re a stinky muffin face
And I won’t eat with you!
I’d rather eat lunch on the roof
Or out of Timmy’s shoe!
I’d rather eat off horse’s feet
Than sit here, next to you!
I’d rather bake a booger pie
And eat it till I’m blue!
I’d rather picnic on the moon
Than eat my lunch with you!
I’ll take my peanut sandwich,
And I’ll take my juice box, too!
And I’ll sit there, way far away
Instead of eat with you!
What’s that? Your mom packed chocolate cake?
And there’s enough for two?
Thanks for asking, Peggy Dean!
Of course I’ll eat with you!
